Fixed header

Hello!

I have a report that the users reach from an url. In the url I have rc:parameters = false. That part works fine. But when I use rc:parameters = false, the property fixed header doesn't seem to work. If I run the report from the report server it works fine, but not from the url.

Any ideas?

Fixed headers don't work if the url access displays more than one page at the same time. The best way to ensure that fixed headers work is to run with rc:toolbar=true|||

Ok, I see...
I tried with "rc:toolbar=true" and set all parameters to "hidden" instead. It works fine, even though it feels a little bit slower when the report is rendering.
Another problem I faced before when I had rc:Parameters = false was that when I did a user sort on any column, the ability to go to next page was gone.
Before the user sort, I could scroll down to next page but when I sorted a column, I could only scroll the first page.
Is it a bug?

Firefox Issues in 2005...

Can someone please verify that the following items are not supported in Firefox. Our app issues an http request to the report server (url access). The following differences are seen between IE and FF:

1) The message "Report is being generated" does not disply in FF during report generation.

2) The printer icon does not appear in the toolbar.

3) Is there any plan to support search functionality within the report in the future?

Thanks.

I'm not sure about #1 or #3, but for #2, client side print is only supported in IE. This is because the client side printing is done via an ActiveX control.

|||Thanks Daniel. I'm recommending to my clients that the IE Tab add-on be installed in Firefox; it solves the problems with the search bar and also displays the "Report is being generated" message. I understand why the search bar functionality is not available in vanilla FF but I'm not sure why the Report generation message with the twirly doesn't appear.

Firefox and password problem with URL access

with URL access, IE does not prompt for password to report server on
"localhost" but Firefox (1.07 - latest version) prompts repeatedly for id and
password. Even when the correct admin credentials are entered it still
continues to prompt for password. We had similar problem with RS2005 in IE. The quick fix was to go into
Tools | Internet Options | Security | Local Intranet | Custom Settings
then scroll down to User Authentication | Logon and set to "Automatic
logon with current username and password"
You may also have to do this for the "Internet" zone too.
We got group policies set to cure this in the long term, but this is
not my area so I can't give specifics.
Now in Firefox, I don't know if there is a setting to pass windows
credentials through to IIS - which is what is going wrong in your
scenario. I've had a quick check and couldn't see anything. But with
Sept CTP it doesn't work well at all with FireFox anyway!!
